William S. Cook, Chief of Police

 

William Cook joined the Unadilla Township Police Department in March of 2002.  He is serving as Chief of Police for the Department.  Chief Cook also serves as a Sergeant for the Pinckney Village Police Department where he has served since May of 1999. 

Prior to joining the Pinckney Police Department, Cook served as a Public Safety Officer for the University of Michigan Health System, and prior to joining the UMHS, Cook served as an Ohio village police officer from 1987 to 1998.  Chief Cook is certified as a peace officer through the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES).

Cook has attained a Master of Science Degree in criminal justice from Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, OH, 2011), a Bachelor of Science Degree in criminal justice from Tiffin University (Tiffin, OH, 1997) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in business administration from Siena Heights College (Adrian, MI, 1987).  He is a graduate of the 26'th class of the Police Executive Leadership College (PELC - Columbus, OH 1997).  Cook is a 1987 graduate of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Council (OPOTC) Academy (at Owens State Community College, Toledo, OH).  Chief Cook and his family live in Unadilla Township.  Chief Cook may be contacted by email at wcook@unadillapolice.org.
