Unadilla Township Regular Meeting Minutes
October 9th, 2008
Meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. Pledge to flag. Present: Peterson, Topping, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan. Absent: None. Motion Krueger support Cowan to approve the agenda as amended. Carried. Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve consent agenda items, including payment of bills and September minutes. Carried. Call to Public: Cindy Denby candidate for 47th District State Rep was present, and introduced herself. Planning Report by Topping, the proposed master plan was handed out. Consensus agreed to distribution of the draft plan to go to the surrounding townships and county for their review and comments. The township board will not comment at this meeting and agrees to read over the plan and will comment at next board meeting. Police Report by Chief Cook, two shotguns were donated by MI. St. Police. New car not in yet. All officers have completed weapon qualifications. Fire Report by Chief Schroeder, 2 new hires requested, Fire Prevention Day went well, truck checks completed. Saturday the 18th stock the Red Cross drive, fliers to come. Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve hire of Robert Williams, Jr. and John Schwartzentruber. Carried. Recreation Report by Cowan, Monica volunteered to run after-school program, it’s been approved by community education. Motion Mahler support Cowan to approve after-school program. Carried. Senior Report by Mahler, they are having a spaghetti supper fundraiser at the SW Church of the Nazarene on Oct. 28th from 5 to 8 p.m. More information to follow. The seniors also received a donation of $100.00 from SSB bank. Flu / pneumonia clinic will be at the township hall on October 23rd from 9 to 12 noon. Zoning Report available. Correspondence: Multi-Lakes ordinance update. Motion Mahler support Krueger to approve the townships L-4029 tax levy report. Carried. Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve “Trick-or-Treat” hours to be from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Carried. Auditor contract tabled. Final call to public: None. Motion Krueger support Peterson to adjourn at 7:24 p.m. Carried.
