Unadilla Township Regular Meeting Minutes
Meeting called to order at 7: 31 p.m. Present: Williams, Topping, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan. Absent: None. Pledge to flag led by Supervisor. Motion Cowan, support Mahler to approve agenda as amended. Carried. Motion Krueger, support Cowan to approve consent agenda items as amended. Carried. Sewer report given by Supervisor. First call to public: Zoning report: Written report received from zoning administrator. Williams noted that she has applied for a home occupation to make dolls in her home. The planning commission will hear request at their next meeting. Planning commission report by Cowan, Maxwell kennel approved at their last meeting and N&K discussed and they are working on complying with their site plan. Supervisor reports Brine should be applied next week to roads. Groundwater remediation project: DEQ reports 6 wells being replaced in Gregory with an additional 2 more needing possible replacement. Auditor report given by Pat Hanniford of Pfeffer, Hanniford and Palka C.P.A. He reports that the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of Unadilla Township as of March 31, 2003, and the results of its operations for the year ended in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S. He made himself available after the meeting for any questions by citizens. Police report given by interim Chief Cook. He thanked the residents for working and donating $2,190.00 toward an AED and noted that they are heading up a bottle drive to purchase the second AED. All officers and reserves have had CPR and AED training. They also have completed wireless network card installation in police cars which allows them to complete their paperwork in the cars and do their logs. Fire Dept. will be holding annual fire prevention day on Oct. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. Motion Cowan support Krueger to pass along Mr. Enos swimming pool regulations to planning commission for their review. Carried. Senior Help Day will be October 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pneumonia and flu shots will be available for all ages, along with a lot of helpful information for seniors. Motion Mahler support Cowan to approve payments of Gregory Sewer amount of $1,116.89. Carried. Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve Gregory Sewer change order number 7. Carried. Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve resolution 903-1: Freedom of Information Act. Roll vote: Ayes: Krueger, Williams, Mahler, Cowan, Topping. Nay: None. Resolution approved. Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve resolution 903-2: Freedom of Information Act Coordinator. Roll vote: Ayes: Krueger, Williams, Mahler, Cowan, Topping. Nay: None. Resolution approved. Motion Krueger support Cowan to hire Watters & Sons for our fire dept. and police dept. sewer connection. Carried. Motion Krueger support Mahler to purchase Philips AED as advised by Red Cross. Carried. Final call to public: Motion to adjourn at 8:29 p.m. by Krueger support Mahler. Carried.
