Unadilla Township Regular Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 7:31 p.m. by Supervisor Williams.  Present: Williams, Topping, Krueger, Cowan.  Absent:  Mahler.  Pledge to flag led by Supervisor.  Motion Krueger support Cowan to approve consent agenda items as presented.  Carried.  Call to public:  None.  Sewer report given by Supervisor.  Zoning report to hand out by Clerk.  Planning Commission report given by Trustee Cowan.  Road report: brine was done by Advanced dust control.  No complaints.  Groundwater Remediation Project report by Supervisor.  DEQ in process of replacing 2 wells with a possibility of 6 more to do.  Public Safety Reports:  Interim Police Chief Cook reports maintenance on cars complete. Stockbridge Schools donated typewriter to station.  They are working on evaluations.  Police will be holding a car wash on August 30 and 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in combination with the Red Cross to raise funds for an AED unit.  A thank you from the Sheriff dept. was read for Officer Russell.  Fire Chief Schroeder will be conducting Adult CPR classes on Sept. 6th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first Sunday in October is annual fire prevention day from 1 to 4 p.m.  Our tanker truck is back and working fine.  Clerk reports a Mr. Schoenberg is requesting board action on abandoning a roadway that was never developed.  This is a strip of land he has been maintaining next to his land.  He will get title work done and pay our attorney fees for doing this.  As of now no one is being assessed for this property.  Motion Cowan support Krueger to approve payments of Gregory Sewer of 6,648.56.  Carried.  Motion Krueger to table Zoning Ordinance Amendment Section 16:30 Marina language and send back to planning commission to take into consideration the county planning commission recommendations.  All in favor.  Motion Krueger support Cowan to approve Zoning Ordinance Amendment addition of footnote q regarding front and side setbacks in R3 districts.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Cowan to approve Zoning Ordinance Amendment addition of footnote o regarding also regarding setbacks on lots of record of 10,000 sq. ft or less. Carried.  Motion Cowan support Krueger to approve allowing supervisor to vote our MML Election ballot.  Carried.  Motion Cowan support Krueger to approve Disturbing the Peace Ordinance.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Topping to approve hiring Reserve Officer Eric Tumbarella.  Carried.  Final call to public:  Mary Lyttle and Tonya Spicz had comments.  Motion to adjourn at 7:40 p.m.  All in favor.  Carried.
