Unadilla Township Regular Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 7:31 P.M. by Supervisor Williams.  Present:  Williams, Topping, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan.  Absent: None.  Williams announced the appointment of James Peterson as her Deputy Supervisor.  Pledge to flag.  Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve consent agenda items as presented.  Carried.  Call to public:  None.  Reports:  Roads: Third application of brine will be done next week.  Livermore had chloride done on it paid for by the County, in trade for some brine done on a primary road the county should have paid for.  Zoning:  Updated land use list handed out.  Planning Commission: Planning would like to have joint meeting with board to discuss updating the Master Plan.  Supervisor to set meeting date.  Senior Help Day set for October 12th, fliers will be available at the next board meeting.  Sewer Report:  Discussion of sidewalk repair and fill dirt for sunken valve pit areas.  Williams to meet with Lawrence and Clark tomorrow to discuss issues.  Public Safety Reports:  Police Chief Cook reports MDOT looking into changing speed limit in Plainfield reduce to 45 there.  They are tentatively setting to move Sept. 8.  They would like to thank the public for their support of the police and fire millages.  Fire Chief Schroeder reports emergency call box is in service on the police station.  He reports that forfeiture money was spent for this.  The fire dept. will be holding a Fire Prevention Day on Sunday Oct. 1st from 1 to 4 p.m.  He would also like to thank Tracy Graphics for donating the sign above the emergency call box.  New Business:  Motion Cowan support Topping to amend the Intergovernmental Agreement for access to the GIS data.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Cowan to advertise the township hall in the Ann Arbor, Livingston County, and Town Crier papers for bids to be received by Sept. 9th setting no limits.  With the option of the board to accept or reject any or all bids.  Carried.  Motion Topping support Mahler to amend Z-78-04 Private Road Ordinance.  Carried.  Motion Cowan support Williams to amend the employee medical insurance plan.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Mahler to appoint Ryan Hamlin as reserve police officer for Unadilla Township.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve expenditures of GRIP road gravel money and to authorize county road commission to distribute gravel where they see the most need.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Cowan to approve new firemen on roster Mike Reppenhagen and Chris Collier.  They have 2 years to complete training.  Carried.  Final call to public:  None.  Motion Krueger support Williams to adjourn at 8:01 p.m.  Carried.
