Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 7:31 p.m.  Present: Topping, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan.  Absent:  Williams.  Pledge to flag led by Krueger.  Cowan announced Land Conservancy fund raiser, literature on tables.  Motion Cowan support Mahler to approve consent agenda items, including June 10 and June 29 special meeting, and payment of bills. Carried.  Call to Public:  None.  Road report by Topping.  Zoning report by Topping.  Planning report by Cowan.  They passed a revised road ordinance.  Senior Help day will by October 14th.  Public Safety Reports:  Police Chief Cook reports there will be lower speed limit signs on Kaiser from 55 to 25 between Tamara and Woodside.  Stop sticks have been installed by Rod Munsell.  Fire Chief Schroeder reports the roof is completed.  Some flashing issues.  Reviewing applications for 2 new members.  4th of July went well, no incidents in spite of weather.  Motion Topping support Mahler to approve Valley Acres, preliminary site plan with the following conditions: Review and comment from applicable State and County agencies, Pending legal review of application, All issues on the private road have been addressed and Verification of the legal descriptions.  Opposed Cowan.  Carried.  Motion Mahler support Krueger to accept sealed bids for the sale of the township hall, starting at $195,000.00.  Bids to be open at the regular August board meeting, noting the Township board reserves the right to accept or deny any or all bids.  Carried.  Motion Cowan support Mahler to approve the Church group putting a sign up at Howlett school, providing it meets sign ordinance.  Carried.  Final call to public:  None.  Treasurer Mahler announced tax bills have not gone out, there was a problem with the County program.  They will go out next week.  Motion Krueger support Topping to adjourn at 7:48 p.m.  Carried.
