Meeting called to order at 7:01 p.m. Pledge to flag. Present: Peterson, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan. Absent: Topping. Motion Mahler support Krueger to approve agenda. Motion Mahler support Krueger to approve Consent agenda items including Minutes of April 2008 and payment of bills as presented. Carried. Call to Public: None. Planning Report: minutes presented. Police Report by Chief Cook. Fire Report by Chief Schroeder, Motion Peterson support Krueger to approve two new hires for the fire dept. Kopacz and Turgeon. Carried. Chief reports that Mr. Stidman has resigned, as he is moving. Recreation Report by Cowan. Senior Report by Mahler. Zoning Report available in writing. New Business: Planner discussion, Cowan requests contact with planner or anyone else whenever necessary. Discussion Motion Cowan support Krueger to allow any board member availability to experts only after exhausting all other options. Opposed Peterson. Carried. Kennel dog ordinance tabled. Chloride prices discussed, Advanced Gravel priced same as last year, no increase, some roads have already been started. Discussion on road issues, spot gravel, Mahler noted that we placed $100,000.00 in budget to repair roads so this should be utilized. Resolution offered by Peterson supported by Mahler to allow all township employees opportunity to invest in Pension Fund. All in Favor. Opposed: None. Absent: Topping. Resolution approved.
